Volume 40 of The Journal of Corporation Law hosted a symposium April 8th and 9th discussing Public-Private Partnerships (P3s). P3s are increasingly being used by governments at all levels to meet infrastructure needs. P3s are an effective method of increasing efficiency in government projects through allowing private sector competition for projects. The symposium welcomed speakers from both the private and public sector that have extensive experience with P3s as well as scholars that have extensive experience in the area. This symposium was a great opportunity for city planners, finance professionals, or anyone with interest in P3s to learn more about this important subject area. A banquet and introductory remarks were held the evening of April 8th at the Coralville Marriott, beginning at 5:30. The general sessions of the symposium and most of the presentations took place on April 9th at the University of Iowa College of Law.
